What relaxes you? Is it music, writing, exercising, drawing, etc? I don’t know why but for me being in a dark dark room brings the ultimate solitude. I find like I’m away from the world and all its responsibilities. Another relaxing source that has been my sanctity is book of Psalms. Sighing…. Do you have those moments when all you can say is, “ Help me Jesus! Help me!” Psalms expresses my emotions, feelings, loneliness, and anger. One of my very very favorite Psalms that addresses these emotions is Psalms 61:1-4.
“Hear my cry, O God; Give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.”

What did God have to offer to David in his time of need:
A place of safety
A dwelling place
Shelter in His wings
God has the same invitation for you and me. He is a hiding place and protection for both you and me. Can you visualize this? Today I wish I could draw so badly! I would draw a large ear with words on it representing the prayers of the righteous, intertwined with the ears are large wings enveloped around the saints. This image is why I’m always saying, “Rest in Him.” It’s so much comfort.
I want to leave you with a song to listen to. Hope it blesses you as much as it blessed me.
May God bless and keep you.
